- 15 March 1953Won the junior division of the club's giant slalom, the first races run on the newly dedicated Throckmorton's Mile, in 3:42.8
- 27 March 1955Second in the high school men's division of the club's annual races, at seventeen, and pictured in the Great Falls Tribune beside the winner, Mike Bell
- 17 March 1957Won the high school boys' race at the Great Falls Ski Club's races at Kings Hill, in 1:55, and was second among the senior men, two seconds behind Jim Hasterlik
- December 1963Joined the Great Falls Ski Patrol as one of the season's new patrolmen, after the required 26 hours of Red Cross first aid
- 18 December 1964Passed the Senior Patrol test at Missoula, with Gary Ellington, Tom Cannon and Terry Greene
- 1969-70Co-director of the Kings Hill Ski School with Wayne Ellington, over a staff of twenty instructors, in a new building on the hill
- 1991-92A volunteer in Eagle Mount's first season of adaptive skiing at Showdown, named in its thank-you to the mountain in May 1992
- By March 2003Eagle Mount was running the Dick Dailey Memorial Cup at Showdown, a ski and snowboard race for four-person teams, the money going to its adaptive ski program
- A certified ski instructor at Kings Hill and then Showdown for more than ten years
