In their words

Who they think of when they think of Showdown
We think of all the good times our family has had on the mountain.
Their favorite memory
When my grandson Kooper took me out on big 7 at a very young age and just kept going.
The craziest thing that ever happened up here
Before my husband, Jake and I got married, we were up on the hill and I finally got him over to the blue side of the mountain as he was a new skier. He fell down again and looked into the woods and saw a ski standing straight up and said, "what is that?" I said, "that is how far the last boyfriend made it". It was a good laugh.
About the photographs
Most of these photos are with the grandkids teaching them how to ski, 3rd generation of skiers at Showdown
Your turn
This page fills up with whoever sends something in. If you have been up this hill — once, or every weekend for forty years — you belong on it too.
