Aaron Weissman
I started skiing in the late 1970s. One of my earliest memories at showdown is getting terrified at the top of the Bovey Headwall after taking the Poma lift when I was about 6 years old and having to get "rescued".

Who they think of when they think of Showdown
My children, Max and Sarah Weissman. Both of them had their first job at Showdown and both of them learned to be the amazing young adults they are today as a result of growing up at Showdown.
Their favorite memory
Co-teaching youth ski league purple group with my son, Max. I can't think of a better feeling that getting to work with my son with both of us getting to impart this sport to the next generation.
The craziest thing that ever happened up here
Early 2020s, I was co-teaching a green PE class with my son and we were both on the Sluice Goose Caboose chair with our class. About 25 first graders. A wind burst came out of nowhere and downed a tree by tower 3. Missed the haul line by only a skoosh. Less than a foot. Both us were white as ghosts when we got off the lift. Skied down, called class over, changed our pants and decided that was enough for the day!
