Your Account

You are a part of the history of Showdown

An account is how your photographs, your films and your memories reach the archive — and how you tell us what is in them, so that in fifty years somebody can still find your family in a picture. It is free, and it always will be.

What an account gives you

One place to send everything. Photographs, films, documents, season passes, and the stories that go with them. No Google account, no sign-in to anything else.
You label your own pictures. The year, who is in them, where they were taken. That is what gets printed under them, and it is how the photo search finds them. Nobody can do this as well as the person who was there.
Your season passes go on the wall. Upload a photograph of each pass and it joins 90 Passes once it is checked over — and every pass year you send in is another chance in the 90 Passes drawing on April 1, 2027, a separate drawing from the March 1 one below.
Send something in and you are in the drawing. An account on its own is not an entry — a photograph, a film, a document, a season pass or a memory written down is. One entry per person, however much you send.
The ability to claim photos of yourself from the existing archive. Find yourself in the photo search and press claim me, and the photograph carries your name from then on.

The rules, in four lines

Everything comes through here. Something sent in — with an account and a signed media release — is what makes an entry count. An account alone is not an entry.
Entries close 11:59 pm Mountain Time on Monday, March 1, 2027, and the drawing is held the moment they close. Winners are announced the next day on social media.
One entry per person, however much you send. Sending more does not improve your chances — it just helps the archive, which is the point of the whole thing.
No purchase necessary. No purchase or payment of any kind is needed to enter or to win, and a purchase will not improve your chances.

You do not need an account to look

Every public part of this website is open to anybody — the photograph search, the passes, The Peoples’ Page. An account is only for putting something in.
