- April 1997The Great Falls Tribune named the maker: Brenter Skibob of Salzburg, building snow bikes since 1949, whose agent had visited Showdown
- 1997-98The snow bike was new in Showdown's rental shop: a ski on the handlebars, a ski under the seat and little skis on the rider's feet, as George Willett described it
- Since 1997-98Snow bikes have stayed in Showdown's rental fleet; by 2007 the mountain had trained instructors for them and let them go anywhere on the hill
- George Willett agreed to take about four of his snow bikes and test them on the hill for him the following winter
